Trends that I hope fail in 2010 By Renee Montoya

Remember when people wore spandex and there was a saying that went around "Just because you CAN wear them doesn't mean you SHOULD"? That is my thought on leggings. People and places to wear leggings: Gym, toddlers, models on the runway, at home, babies, running, and in bed. The grossest part about the legging fad, is that too many people get away wearing them and do not wear underwear with them.
When you buy a pair of workout pants or in this case work out leggings, there will be what I refer to as a 'cooter' pad in the inside so that undergarments are optional. When a pair of $12 leggings, like the ones shown from American Apparel are purchased, they come sans cooter pad. Nobody likes a VPL and a thong is not an option, since leggings are worn as a second skin.
Unfortunately for this trend leggings have evolved, using patterns, latex, zippers, and embellishments. I am hoping they continue their evolution into oblivion.
